The Greyhound is the quintessential racing dog, able to achieve speeds of over 40mph! Used for thousands of years to hunt down the larger and faster game of Africa, the Greyhound was made for running and that's what it loves to do. A recent movement has brought more public notice to the plight of the racing Greyhounds that were usually destroyed after their racing career had peaked, and now more organizations are rescuing these racers and putting them up for adoption.
