History

Dogs have been separated from their Wolf, Fox and Coyote cousins for thousands of years. The original dogs recognized that living with humans is better than living out in the woods in packs, because the people would care for them and protect them. Being served is easier than daily hunting. Each dog also generally became the center of its family's attention, instead of just being another dog in a large pack.
