Keeshond: Index

The Keeshond is the National Dog of Holland, and it derives its name from the political leader of a Dutch patriot who was trying to overthrow the monarchy in the 1800s. The Keeshond is actually a close relative of the various northern and arctic breeds such as the Samoyed, the Chow Chow, the American Eskimo and the Spitz. Because of this close relationship, the Keeshond is very smart, very easy to train, and can learn a wide variety of tricks and activities.
