Lhasa Apso: Index
The Lhasa Apso is a small dog with long flowing hair, similar to the hair style of an Afghan, but much shorter. Used for hundreds of years to guard the monasteries of Tibet, the Lhasa Apso was strictly controlled by the monks and wasnt introduced to the West until the 1930s. Since their introduction to the West, the Lhasa Apso has been increasing in popularity due to their magnificent long hair. Because the Lhasa Apso is very appealing, owners have a tendency to treat the Lhasa Apso as a little baby which will cause the dog to develop Small Dog Syndrome and cause the dog to develop a wide variety of psychological problems.
