Old English Sheepdog: Index
The Old English Sheepdog is a big fuzzy grey and white dog that was used in the West Counties of England to herd the sheep into the city markets for sale. Their big fuzzy coat was sheared along with the sheep it was herding to make into coats and blankets. No one is truly sure about the ancestry of the Old English Sheepdog, with hypotheses indicating that the ancestors could have come from as far away as Russia. The Old English Sheepdog is a very good family pet, gets along great with children and visitors, loves to play (sometimes rough), and is a great watchdog too.
