The Pug is a very small dog with a stocky body that is very friendly to everyone. The Pug is a good dog for any level of owner skill, even those with no prior dog ownership skills. Preferring to hang out instead of constantly running around, the Pug is great for the sedentary family too. The breed was developed over 2000 years ago, making the Pug one of the oldest breeds available, but it didnt make it to the West until the 1600's, when trade opened with the Far East.
