Shetland Sheepdog: Index
The Shetland Sheepdog looks like a miniature Collie, with similar colorations, but is a totally different breed and should not be considered to be a miniature Collie. Raised on the Shetland Islands northeast of Scotland, the breed has progressively become smaller, as happened with the Shetland Pony from the same area. The Shetland Sheepdog is one of the smartest dogs and will easily learn new things. It is very friendly and makes a great pet, but can be apprehensive around strangers that it doesnt know.
